Global Health Business Leader Coalition handed out a request form to PM Suga
Summary
On April 27, the Global Health Business Leader Coalition, represented by Ken Shibusawa, CEO of Shibusawa and Company, Ltd., handed out a request form entitled "Global Health Strategies that Leverage Private Sector Strengths and Resources – Aiming to solve increasingly complex and diverse issues in global health – “.
In this request, the Japanese government's increase in funding in the global health field, human resource development, collaboration with private companies, and promotion of innovation will support the business activities of private companies in growth markets. At the same time, synergy of the efforts by ODA projects and the private businesses can contribute more effectively and efficiently to solving problems in the global health field.
With the global expansion of coronavirus infections reaffirming the importance of global health, it is hoped that the request will be fulfilled.
In addition, Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting (MURC) supports the planning and operation of the "Global Health and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the lens of Corporate Strategies" seminar series, and is in charge of drafting the request with reference to the voices of business leaders obtained at the seminar.
